James E. Powers O.D.

 

Dr. Powers is a graduate of Iowa State University, B.S., 1976, and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, O.D., 1983, where he received the Clinical Excellence award for his graduating class. He completed a residency in primary care at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. Dr. Powers has over twenty one years of extensive clinical experience, including seventeen years as clinical director of Capital Eye Consultants. Dr. Powers has also given numerous educational lectures nationally and is active in the Virginia Academy of Optometry and the Virginia Optometric Association.  He is the Center Director, President, and owner of Capital Eye in partnership with Dr. Baldinger.
