Dr. Wong is a native of the Washington, D.C. area. He was raised here and still lives in Bethesda, Maryland. After graduating from Haverford College, he received his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was awarded "Intern of the Year" at the Bryn Mawr Hospital and returned to complete his residency in Ophthalmology at the Center for Sight at Georgetown University in D.C. He went to Memphis, Tennessee for his vitroretinal fellowship training under Drs. Steve Charles and Maurice Landers. He is Board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.



"Since I finished training in 1993, I have enjoyed successful clinical practice in Baltimore with Omni Eye Specialists and Katzen Eye Group. These two multispeciality ophthalmic groups are very similar to Capital Eye Consultants. I like the advantage of having other sub-specialists under the same roof, as that way we can take better and more personal care of our patients. Capital Eye Consultants is unique in that they enjoy very close relationships with most of the primary eye care doctors in the area. This allows us to take advantage of the long-term bond between patients and doctor.


Coming back to this area and practicing locally has been a dream of mine. I look forward to establishing myself in Northern Virginia with Capital Eye Consultants."
